Your Hosts - Allison and Glen Palmer

We are confirmed and enthusiastic residents of the West Coast, having lived here for over twenty years. We moved to Maryglen early in 1996; though this is not our first house by the sea. It is also not our first experience in offering friendly, comfortable hospitality to travellers as we have entertained family and friends for many years.

We enjoy showing warm hospitality to our guests, serving them on arrival refreshments and home baking as we welcome them to this beautiful part of New Zealand. We  have a cat named Misty who enjoy being fussed over by our guests. Allison is a bridge player, so a game is a possibility. Glen enjoys doing large jigsaws and guests are welcome to contribute.

In the past 4-5 years we have been able to experience some world travel ourselves- this has broadened our views but also it has helped us to understand more the needs of our guests plus it has certainly made us appreciate our wonderful country.
